2nd Component
Self-Reflection Therapy
Wise people often listen before engaging with a person. Jesus, a man known to be wise and full of knowledge and understanding, asked a self-reflection question like, "Do you want to be healed?" (John 5:6 Holy Bible) before he healed a man. He asked his own followers, "Who do you say I am?" (Matthew 16:13-17) (Mark 8:27-29) (Luke 9:18-20). Jesus shows us that even if a person's situation appears one way on the outside, because of each person's unique situation and mindset, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. In each session, you will be asked self-reflecting questions. These questions are designed to help you unlock what is in your heart, leading you to find your deeper purpose. Having a trained and experienced Life Purpose Coach guiding you will enhance that experience. 1:1 coaching gives you support according to your particular situation.
3rd Component
Cognitive Behavioral Techniques
Each participant in the program will learn a higher way of thinking through Cognitive Behavioral Techniques. Cognitive Behavioral Techniques are derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is also called CBT. The study of how humans think. ("For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7). This field is known as cognitive psychology. This is the process that happens between becoming aware of a situation and reacting to that situation. The teaching about why people react in different ways and how we can control those reactions. The study of how humans think dates back to the time of ancient Greek philosophers Plato and Aristotle. Eventually, a formal field of study devoted solely to the study of cognition emerged as part of the "cognitive revolution" of the 1960s.
The CBT Process:
1) Situation
2) Belief system (V.E.S.P.M.)
3) Emotional response
4) Action
4th Component
V.E.S.P.M.
V.E.S.P.M. is a newly developed system exclusively used in the 8 CYCLES OF WELLNESS LLC. V.E.S.P.M. represents your Values - An emotional connection to what you have or what you need. Ethics - The response you make when a situation arises that confronts the survival portion of the brain. Spirituality - The ability to feel and work in harmony with the bigger picture for the goodness of all mankind. Physical - How you treat, care for, and carry yourself according to your perception of what you feel is a balanced view of the physical laws of nature. & Mental - The basis of how you choose to feel and what you choose to focus on - according to your belief system. V.E.S.P.M. is the center of the 8 CYCLES OF WELLNESS Program. V.E.S.P.M. was developed by Tamika M. Russell, CEO & Developer of the 8 CYCLES OF WELLNESS LLC. V.E.S.P.M. is broken down and fully explained in Cycle 2. Ms. Russell believes that if each person continues to grow and develop their own personal V.E.S.P.M. Plan, along with the use of the entire 8 Cycles of Wellness program, the possibilities of living a progressive life could be endless.
5th Component
Neuroplasticity
According to how the brain works, we can relearn or change what we believe to be true, which will affect how we feel about a situation, controlling our responses to that situation. When this process happens over and over again, it is called Neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is when the brain is rewired to function in a way that differs from how it previously functioned. This process continues throughout life if no major mishaps occur, for example, the inability to learn.
The 5 Stages of Life
While on this journey, you will be building a new foundation in the way of going back and revisiting your 5 Stages of Life. At this point in your life, you are somewhat equipped with the knowledge and experience to help yourself. You can re-parent yourself by revisiting (1) Childhood (Before Puberty)- Under the care of an adult. Getting parental guidance and having genetic urges. (2) Adolescence (During Puberty) -Welcoming in ideas from other families, environments, books, the internet, etc. (3) Adulthood (on your own)- No longer under the supervision of another adult. On the search for how you plan to live your adult life... Looking for your purpose (4) Maturity (Stable) - Through trial and error, you have discovered what works and doesn't work for you. A time in life when your decisions shape your future (5) Thriving Mindset (Proactive) - Looking daily to learn and grow in knowledge and understanding, along with exposure. vs Survival Mindset (Reactive) Focused on doing what's needed to survive. Your actions mainly show the freeze, flight, fight, or rescue response.
(See Chart Below)
You cognitively become aware that a situation is going on and it requires your attention.
You acknowledge what you believe to be right/true at the time. According to your current V.E.S.P.M. Beliefs
Your beliefs at the time will trigger a thought, memory, and in turn an emotion.
Which will then cause you to take action. Triggering a stage in The 5 Stages of Life.
As you practice these behaviors, Neuroplasticity begins
