Self-Reflection Questions
WHO do you want to present yourself as? Do you present yourself with your sexuality?
WHAT can you do if someone's sexuality makes you feel uncomfortable?
WHERE did you learn about your views on sex and sexuality?
WHY is it important for you to set clear boundaries when it comes to your body?
WHEN is it appropriate to share your sexual energy with another person?
HOW does trauma play a role in sex and sexuality?
Self-Reflection Points
Sexual hygiene means maintaining a clean, healthy sexual area and environment at all times. As well as using safe and healthy sex practices.
Being sexually healthy means being aware of your V.E.S.P.M. Plan during sex or sexual practices.
Sexual energy can be shared in different ways depending on the culture or environment. Be aware of how other people view sex and sexual energy.
Sexual abstinence is always an option. Not having any sexual experiences for a period of time or choosing not to have any sexual experiences at all is up to each person. It can be done for spiritual or cleansing purposes as well.
If you don't agree with someone's view about sex or sexuality, it is okay. However, it is their body (temple), and they choose how they want to present it. We must respect everyone's V.E.S.P.M.
One way to maintain sexual health is by talking to your sexual partner before getting intimate. "Know Before You Go." A bad sexual experience can harm your Values, Ethics, Spiritual, Physical, and Mental health.
Sexual trauma can affect how we view sex and sexuality. Whether it is seen, heard, or experienced firsthand. You should seek help from a trusted source before engaging in further sexual activity.
If someone has violated you sexually, you should call 911 or the emergency number in your area. Tell someone you trust. Most of all, go to a safe place and stay there until you get help.
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalms 139:14 Holy Bible
"GOD saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good..." Genesis 1:31 Holy Bible
